Parma Soccer Club Disciplinary Actions Procedures
When being informed of a possible infraction by a player and/or spectator (referred to as the ‘offender’ for the remainder of this document), it will be up to the Parma Soccer Club (PSC) board to decide if the infraction was a punishable offense. An infraction can range from spectators yelling at the ref, to spectators yelling at the players, or even coaching from the side lines. An emergency meeting, email, or a group text will be used to discuss the possibility of disciplinary action. If disciplinary action is deemed necessary by the Parma Soccer Club board, the following steps will be taken.
Level 1: If the situation is deemed by the board to be worthy of disciplinary action, based on the severity of the infraction (first offense, new parent, etc), the board can choose to issue the offender a warning. The offender will be made aware of the consequences of future infractions.
Level 2: If the situation is deemed by the board to be worthy of disciplinary action (repeat offender, already issued a warning, cursing, harassing a referee, etc), the penalty for a Level 2 offense will be as follows. The player related to the offender will be suspended for 1 game. The offender will be banned for the subsequent 4 weeks of Parma Soccer Club games, following the date of the offense. For example, if an incident occurred on Wednesday, September 12, the offender would be banned until Wednesday, October 10 from all PSC games. If an incident occurred on Sunday, October 14, he/she would be banned until Sunday, October 21 (1 week), and since October 21 is the last game of the season, the offender would be banned for the first 3 weeks of the next season. The child would still be allowed to play.
Level 3: If the situation is deemed by the board to be worthy of disciplinary action, and Level 2 has already been enforced, or the board deems the action as a Level 3 offense, the following will occur. The player related to the offender will be suspended for 1 game. The offender will be banned for the remainder of the current season, and the entirety of the next season. For example, if an incident occurred on Sunday, September 9, the spectator(s) would miss the remainder of the fall season, and would also be banned for the following spring season. The child would still be allowed to play.
Level 4: If the situation is deemed by the board to be worthy of disciplinary action, and Level 3 has already been enforced, or the board deems the action as a Level 4 offense, the following will occur. The player and the spectator shall be banned from the Parma Soccer Club for the duration of the Parma Soccer Club's existence.
