What Do the U-Numbers Mean?
In youth soccer, “U” stands for “Under,” followed by the age. For example, U10 means “under 10 years old.” Age groups are determined by the player’s age on January 1 of the current soccer year. This system helps make sure players are grouped by developmental stage to support age-appropriate training and competition.
